Project One: Blog or Website... What's the difference?

Are blogs and websites the same thing? When trying to find examples of blogs that I liked I found it really hard to know if it was a blog or a website. After doing some research I have discovered that indeed blogs are websites but there are distinct differences and advantages.

Being a blogger (publisher) is like being a print publisher. There is no difference. A blog is like a digital magazine. Blogs are websites that are designed to capture the audience with fresh and relevant content. Just like a magazine. The cover of your magazine is the home page, your most recent content.

A website is a digital storefront. Some consumers are just wanting and are ready to 'buy'. This is when a website is useful. It gives the means of listing the products and its services in detail, usually with the option of being able to purchase it online. If your products and services are in high demand then a website is the way to go. It gives consumers another way of looking it up and potentially purchasing it.

These days a lot of people are choosing the hybrid site, this combines the best of a blog and a traditional website. Most of the examples I have found are hybrid rather than just a blog.
