This term in web media I have learn't about the history of the web and how it was created as well as the basics of HTML and CSS and how they work together to create a website.
I now know the process of creating a webpage (research through to the coding). Using a wire frame and div map is a great tool to get the visual side of your website down before beginning to code it.
I found learning CSS more enjoyable than HTML as CSS was where we got to style everything. I do not necessarily remember everything that we covered but I do know now where to look if I get stuck with certain code. Some of the different commands I learn't for CSS include: margins, padding, back-ground images, font families, position property, different states for the menu bar (active, link, hover, visited) etc. I now can appreciate the importance of commenting on everything and making sure everything is labeled correctly and closed correctly in both HTML and CSS otherwise it won't work very well or how you want it too.
