Project One: Evoke Arts Festival: Website build practise

Last class we started using XHTML and CSS to recreate the Evoke Arts Festival webpage. Below is a screenshot of what I achieved during our class. I found it hard getting the dimensions correct but after reading up on a few things I think I have that sorted now for future.

Since class I have worked on the webpage some more. It still isn't finished and there are some elements that aren't quite right. I can't seem to get the banner to move down in align with the book now button. I have however worked out how to apply a gradient to the background and I have also created links to various sites when you click on the menu tabs, book now button and social media icons. I have also created a hover feature for the menu bar. Here are screenshots of what I have done.
