Project Three: Model Development

Below are some images of my model being developed so far. I have taken them over into 3DSMAX. In there I have played around with some of the modifiers. Some of the compositions that I have managed to make I think are quite interesting and this is something I want to keep on developing and going along with.

Development One: Front

  Development One: Back

For this first model development I have gone back into solid works where I tidied up the patterns that were shown on the faces. I made the patterns more meaningful and use the pattern of a kina as inspiration. I also looked at using the fillet tool to create different varieties of circles. Some being more flatter than other. Once I had done this I took it over to 3DSMAX where I explored with trying to blow the model up a bit. I used the spherify tool and even though it didn't do quite what I was planning I think the bulge look that the model has formed is quite interesting and I would like to explore this further.

Developement Two:

For this model I have looked at simplifying the pattern that I use On the faces as I thought that if I had too many shapes extruded it would become very difficult to clean once printed. I have still used the pattern of the kina as inspiration but just done a modified version of it.
