Above are two images of 3d printing which I have selected from the research that I have done. These two images particularly interested me. In the first image I really like how it uses the aspect of pattern on a simple shape. This gives the sphere texture as wel as intricate detail.  This is something which i would quite like to explore. In the second image I really love the organic shape that it is made from and again the texture that is created from using what looks like spikes and hollow cylinders.  

Precedents Three - Six:

After finding the two examples above of 3d printing and noticing the use of organic shapes and texture being used it got me thinking about sea creatures and things under the sea. I did some research into this and above are a few images of what I managed to find. I think I would quite like to use the under the sea as inspiration and as a key idea to help create something like the 3d printed examples above. The patterns that are created and textures that are formed on the sea creatures are just amazing and I think that the have the potential to offer me a lot of unique ideas. 

Now to begin sketching.
